Sydney
With a shoreline stretching over 240km, Sydney is Australia’s oldest, largest and arguably most famous city, built on one of the most beautiful harbours in the world. Offering a complete Superyacht experience, Sydney combines stunning natural landscapes, secluded beaches, fantastic snorkelling sites, walks and exploration, with world class arts, culture, amenities, entertainments, nightlife and dining.
Sydney Harbour is one of the few harbours in the world with a natural array of safe and sheltered anchorages, so your superyacht can berth in the very heart of Sydney, just a brief tender ride from some of Australia’s most iconic landmarks.
From Circular Quay, it’s just a short walk to The Rocks, where you can indulge in world-class fine dining and become absorbed in Australian history and culture at a range of museums and galleries including The Museum of Contemporary Art.
The Rocks Markets is a fantastic stop for uniquely Australian gifts crafted by local artisans. Then, take a VIP backstage tour of the Sydney Opera House or spend the afternoon scaling the Harbour Bridge, followed by a sundowner at the Opera Bar.
Anchor at Athol Bay and enjoy the clear blue skies and sunshine as you explore Taronga Zoo. Watch Australian sea lions dive and play, see the black cockatoos soar in free flight, or get up close to the magnificent Sumatran tigers in the Tiger Trek. For spectacular views of Sydney Harbour, enjoy a free cable car ride on the Sky Safari.
Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park is rich in indigenous heritage, with over 800 Aboriginal cultural sites on record. Walk in the footsteps of the Aboriginal ancestors to Red Hands Cave, a 12m high cave covered with layers of handprints and stencils dating back up to 1,600 years.
Then, climb the stone-carved steps to Barrenjoey Lighthouse for an unforgettable panorama of the Northern Beaches peninsula.
Later in the afternoon, visit the Basin Aboriginal art site to see some of the most impressive Aboriginal rock engravings in just the right light. Just a short hike away, witness the spectacular sunset views at the waterfall in America Bay.
Watsons Bay is a showcase for Australia’s early settler and military history. Take the South Head Heritage Trail to visit 19th century lightkeeper’s cottages, gun emplacements, and the iconic red and white striped Hornsby Lighthouse. Have lunch beneath a large black and white striped umbrella at the Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel and enjoy amazing ocean views. Don’t forget to visit the Gap viewing area for sensational panoramic views of the harbour.
Fantastic fishing awaits along the Hawkesbury River which teems with kingfish, Australian salmon, bream, tailor, and the enormous Mulloway. If you’re not keen on seafood, there are also numerous bays ideal for swimming, water-skiing, and paddle-boarding. For a private retreat, a short cruise past majestic Lion Island will lead you to the secluded bays of Cowan Creek. Explore a maze of creeks, inlets, coves, and bays sheltered by the vast sandstone cliffs of the Hornsby Plateau. Enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch at Cottage Point surrounded by spectacular views of the waterways. Take a detour on your way back to Sydney to witness the breath-taking colours of the sandstone bluff at Jerusalem Bay.
